Foremost broadcaster and chairman of Biscon Communications, owners of the hugely popular Bisi Olatilo Show and Biscon TV, Prince Bisi Olatilo, has finally broken his silence concerning the obnoxious rumour that he’s no more.
It would be recalled that all through yesterday, the rumour kept spreading like wildfire that the respected and renowned broadcaster who speaks fluently Nigeria’s three major languages – Igbo, Hausa and Yoruba – had joined the league of unfortunate celebs who lost their lives to COVID-19.
So fierce was the rumour that YES INTERNATIONAL! Magazine had to deploy all our contacts till we confirmed otherwise.
Speaking later from his hospital bed, and in a short video that is now online, Olatilo confirmed that indeed he has COVID-19! He, however, added that contrary to the rumour flying all over the place that he’s dead, the reverse is actually the case.
‘Yes, I have COVID-19…But I’m recovering and receiving treatment…All the doctors are working in tandem to see that this man comes out well…’
Insisting, ‘I dey kampe’ and ‘I’m going nowhere’, he urged his friends, fans and family to spread the good news – that yes, he has COVID-19, but no, he is still alive and isn’t joining his ancestors anytime soon!
In conclusion, he summed up his current health issue as a time to rest, having been busy and working nearly all his adult life. And again to reflect on the past, the present and the future.
